Suggesting an improved unified back/forward button

When I first saw the The Shape of Things to Come I really got enthusiastic with the concept of creating a unique visual identity for Firefox. However the work afterwards didn't make me feel the same way.
In my opinion the negative point of the Firefox 2.0 default theme is that it doesn't give it the necessary professional look, while the new suggested Theme in its latest form Navigation Toolbar on Windows fails also in this section.
Rather than a pointless criticism against Firefox Theme developers, who are doing exceptionally work in both brainstorming and designing, I decided to choose the path of suggesting some improvements to the proposed unified B/F button, which I believe provide the missing professional look.

Outline of the basic idea

The suggested button fully colorized

Embedding the suggested button in Firefox's new theme.

I know that in the suggested button needs still much to be done, but as I am not a professional designer and certainly I am not as good as Alex Faaborg and his alike, it would be an honor for me if they would decide to work on my suggestion.
